Saturday was a special day for some of my friends since they were getting stoled for the Lavender Celebration. I wanted to look presentable for pictures but keep the attention on them. Photos of the celebration are kept private so the people in them have total control what goes online but I have one photo of myself from that day.
A more dressed up version of the t-shirt and jeans look, I threw on this faux-suede biker jacket to jazz up the lace-up v-neck tshirt underneath. The ripped boyfriend jeans keep the outfit casual for the event while my flats elevate the look to balance the line between dressy and casual for the occasion.
Pro tip: Elevate casual looks with dressier jackets from the Miss's section since its geared towards the demographic that hold careers.
I think unconsciously I chose to wear purple since it was the Lavender Celebration to show support for the occasion but I can't confirm this because I'm not Freud.
