Nobody likes Mondays, especially cold Mondays. That is why I decided to go with a look that maximized my comfortability and warmth. It is no secret that flannel is excellent for retaining heat on brisk days. This purple and green henley from Vermont Flannel Co. is one of my favorite flannel pieces. With its boxy shape and sweatshirt-roots, this shirt provides me with a simple, yet counter-climate option, necessary to survive the most frigid mornings. Underneath, I donned an old purple tie-dye tee that I made years ago which I thought juxtaposed well with the the color composition of the flannel henley. Moving down the outfit, you can see that I went with a classic pair of cozy grey sweatpants. Grey sweats match any top. That is why these J Crew sweats were a perfect choice for this Monday. At my feet, you can see that I have conveniently left my shoelaces undone. By doing this, I can easily slip on my New Balance 300s, allowing me to leave at the drop of a dime, while also letting my feet breathe.
