On Friday, April 27th, I wore this outfit during my poster presentation of IS Symposium. Unfortunately, my assigned presentation time was from 9-11, so putting on khakis, a button down, and a tie at 8:30 was extremely difficult for someone who prides himself in dressing as lazily and comfortable as humanly possible. Not to mention the fact that I do not usually have class on Friday and are used to waking up around 11 or so, not before 9, that is for sure. Anyway, back to the outfit. Obviously, while presenting during Symposium, I was required to dress up and wear “business” clothes, which led to me wearing essentially the same outfit as my Oral Defense. In fact, I am wearing the same pair of shoes and belt, along with the same style of khaki pants. However, the difference comes in the top half of the outfit, where I went with a shirt and tie that I thought matched my poster pretty well. I went with a blue and white polo button down, paired with a two-tone blue tie. While not my preferred outfit of choice, I was not uncomfortable standing for the required two hours and discussing my IS topic with visitors. I do apologize for this photo being different from my typical blog posts, but I simply forgot to get a picture before changing clothes and there was no way I was putting all of that back on just to take a picture.
