If the sight of “Bowden- Post #5” made you gasp, I am sure this post made you faint. Not only am I once again wearing khakis, a button down, and tie, but this time I have added the aspect of a blazer as well, and on back-to-back days even! On Saturday, April 21st, I had to report for work at my internship with Columbus Crew SC, when they played the New England Revolution. Unfortunately, this is typical attire for the internship, or at least until it warms up more and we can switch to team issued polos. Nevertheless, I went with the same black loafers and black belt as I wore during my Oral Defense, but mixed up the upper half of my outfit for the trip to Columbus. It might still be white, but instead of the Polo button down, I switched to an Izod, as the Polo one had been worn the day before. New England’s colors are red and blue, so I went with a neutral tie and tried to get as close to Columbus colors as I could, wearing a gold and dark navy/black tie. As for the blazer, it added the warmth needed to keep the chill off while standing outside from 5-10, while also helping me look official and presentable for the day. It might not be my attire of choice, but all the components are comfortable and gain the approval of my boss, so I cannot complain too much. That being said, do not get used to posts with this sort of attire, as I try to keep my clothing to the basics, jeans and sweats.
