For Tuesday, April 17th, Wooster had another one of its wonderful “spring days,” which also included another fun snow flurry for the majority of the day. That being said, I only had two classes today and it was not too terribly cold, so I chose to embrace my MLS team affiliation conflict. Before I get into that though, I will address the already obvious choice of jeans and boots. Once again, with the snow and cold setting in, I chose to wear my boots to avoid dirtying up a pair of tennis shoes and the boots also help keep me a little bit warmer than my thin tennis shoes would allow. I decided to go with jeans again today partly to keep warm, but mostly so Dr. Atay could not give me crap for wearing sweats again, which seems to be one of his favorite things to do during the day. Now to elaborate on my dilemma a bit more. I wore an Atlanta United t-shirt, which is not only my favorite MLS team, but honestly my favorite pro sports team as well. However, I recently got an internship with Columbus Crew SC, which is who is on the hoodie I chose to wear. The hoodie provided a great amount of warmth, and the hood itself is plenty big enough to keep out the snow and wind when walking to class. The problem with this is that not only are ATL and Columbus Eastern Conference foes, but are pretty tough rivals as well. Obviously, with my new job, I have to show some allegiance to Crew SC, but I have a hard time promoting the team that knocked Atlanta out of the playoffs last year. Regardless, the outfit was comfortable and provided the warmth needed to get through the day, while also getting Dr. Atay’s seal of approval… Until I wear sweats again anyway.
