I have a confession. I haven't done my laundry in two weeks. I'm also tired and ready to not be a college senior anymore.
Due to life, I had to look presentable IN JEANS meaning I had pull myself together...out of the laundry pile.
The easiest (and most pajama like) of my remaining clothes was this linen button shirt. Because society decided to make women's arm holes too small for my own, I buy all these shirts three sizes too large. Plus side, its really comfy. My jeans are clearance jeans from Kohl's since Juicy Couture is the only brand that ever fits me. The only control I had was the shoes.
Shoes never get dirty. I can control when and how often I wear comfortable things. I hate heels but I like to be presentable. How do I get around being fancy and heel-less? Flat ankle booties! These were found on clearance at Forever 21 during spring break (I bought them in maroon too).
Finally to spice up a plain outfit, I throw on the one piece of clothing I didn't buy cheap. The leather jacket works against the wind on this miserable, windy Wednesday while keeping me looking interested in my life. Top off the "I'm pretending my week is going great" outfit is the messy bun that is "fashionable" to everyone else and "one more day without shampoo" for me.
Bottom line, I feel tired and miserable this fine Wednesday but, pretending to dress for success keeps the my depressive attitude at bay. How long can I go without doing laundry?
